April 28th
Clara visited her eye doctor and peds doctor in the past two days. First the eye doctor, after his evaluation of Clara's eyes, he informed us that he felt the ROP was in remission but will continue to check her weekly. Krystal and I were very excited to hear because it validated her discharge from the hospital.
Clara met Dr. Rowell (her pediatrician) for the first time today. She was 5 lbs 14 oz (with diaper) and 17.5 inches long. She was impressed on how well Clara looked and how home life was agreeing with her (she has been following her progress in anticipation of being her primary doctor). Again she cautioned us on exposing Clara and recommend that we limit her visitors. Krystal and I really want to introduce Clara to all of our family and friends and all the people that helped us through the past 3.5 months but we must do what is best for her an let her get stronger. We appreciate everybody's patience and understanding.
