June 26th

Clara has not missed a beat since we took her off the oxygen, she is starting to smile and her activity level continues to increase. She has several scheduled doctor's visits this week , I will post any update mid week.

For Father's day, I took Clara out for her first geocache (which was #100 for me) Read the entries for June 19th

June 15th

Great News! Clara weighs 10 lbs 2oz and the doctor has given us the green light to stop O2 treatment. The doctor has told us she only needs the heart and breathing monitor during the night time but Krystal and I have come to depend on the sense of security of the monitor and will leave it on most of the time. Clara is visibly changing daily, her hair & eyebrows are coming in fast and thick, she is very plump, and is gaining head control and enjoys visual stimulation.

For those of you that live in Ohio, we are planning on visiting my parents the week after the forth of July. So contact Krystal and I if you would like to meet Clara.

Cheers for now.......

Mike

Sam hanging out with Clara Posted by Hello

June 5th

Clara is now on O2 only 12 hours a day (nighttime only). She seems to be doing very well breathing on her own. We went to the audiologist on Friday, and after examination we are going to wait a couple of week to allow her ear canals to mature before testing her hearing. Her eyes continue to improve and the ROP continues to dissipate.

She is now taking supplemental bottles of pear juice to help with the bowel movements. She is getting fat and is probably over eight pounds.

Cheers for Now.....
Mike
