Well it has been a while since I have posted. We had very good trips to Florida over the 4th of July and a week later to Ohio. Clara travels very well. She started to get a little upset towards the end of the 12 hour trip up, but we were able to make it back home in 9.5 hours and she was queit most oftheway. Thanks to all of our family & friends in Ohio that came to see Clara; everyone just fell 'head over heels' for her. A "special thanks" to Gammy and Aunt Wendy for holding Clara as much as possible. Now she has separation anxiety and if Krystal or I are not holding her or not in sight she screams at the top of her lungs. Krystal and I have been trying to reprogram her since we have gotten back home.
Well our little girl is growing up very quickly. As of 7/22/05, she weighs 11 lbs 13 ozs and is 22.5 inches long. According to Dr. Rowell she is very close to be a normal 6 month old baby on the growth curve. She has a tooth coming in, Krystal noticed a look of drool but thought it was too soon for teeth, during her exam Dr. Rowell found a small bump on her gums. Clara also started to push up from her stomach while in the exam room, so rolling over is not to far in the future. Her eye doctor has cleared her and only needs to see her every 6 months for checkups. We are pretty much on a "normal" checkup schedule now (she does have one final visit to the lung doctor)

We started giving Clara baby food yesterday with Dr. Rowell's permission. So far Clara has been taking it well. Lots of smiles during her baby food feeding (right) . She is taking 6 oz every four to five hours and is pretty much sleeping for 9 PM to 5 AM. Which is allowing Krystal to get some consistent sleep.
Again we want to thank everyone for the gifts, thoughts, and prayers for Clara; she is truly special. I encourage everyone that reads this blog to scroll down and look at the early pictures of her and then to see her present pictures. Truly amazing!!!!
Cheers for now......

Clara is doing very well. She has been released by the physical therapist and the nurse from our insurance company. We visited Dr. Rowell yesterday and she was amazed by how much Clara has grown since her last visit. She weighs 10lbs 13oz. She no longer needs the "Premature" formula and we will start to incorporate "regular" formula today. Krystal was hoping to start her on solid food but Dr. Rowell asked her to give Clara 4-6 weeks. She also warned us to start accepting the fact that we will have to give up the heart monitor. She understands our unwillingness to give it up but it is get close to time to get rid of it.
We are traveling the next two weeks (FLA &OH), not sure how much updating of the Blog I will be doing but I should have plenty of new picture to post.

These are some Professional shots we had taken of Clara. We will be distributing them over the next couple of weeks or as we see people.
