Clara and Jacob have been chosen to be the Ambassador Children and we will lead the annual March of Dimes WALK AMERICA in York County. Krystal and Clara have traveled all around the the State telling our story and the importance of neonatal research and support at various corporate & March of Dime fundraisers. Clara is no longer considered "Premature" and is strictly being evaluated like a typical 2 year old. She does have a few minor "delays" but we are working with Stacy (EI) to help her. She is in full verbal mode and tries to have conversations with people; obviously Krystal knows exactly what she is talking about and I continue to 'learn'. She adds several words to her vocabulary each day. She has started to use her "Baby Sign language" again after stopping for a couple of months. She will use the hand gestures in combination with her words. If you are around her and she is giving the "Hit & Run" sign that is "Please".
Krystal and I take great pride and pleasure in working with her to learn her ABC'S, 123's, flashcard, teaching her songs and Clara is like a sponge and enjoys learning. She has learned to swim with the aid of a "bubble" without mom and dad and has no fear of the pool or water.
