Team Jacob: Sara , Jordan, Jamie, Krystal, Judy, Clara, Larry 4/29/2006 March of Dimes "Walk America"
Today we walked 5-miles as "Team Jacob" in the York County Walk America.
Kudos to Krystal for raising over $650 dollars for the event. Thanks to everyone that contributed (a special thank you to JP) in memory of Jacob and honoring Clara. Also thanks to SouthPaw Printing for screen printing TEAM JACOB on our shirts.

Unfortunately on 4/20 my grandmother passed away in Ohio. On Friday we headed to Ohio to be with family and say good bye to Grandma. It was a bitter-sweet trip as we were able to see family and share Clara with Grandpa and the rest of the family.

Clara had a great 15 month check up last Thursday. She weighed 18 lbs 10 ozs and was 28.5 inches long. Her length is on the growth curve but she is still under weight. Everything else checked out great with her.
Clara has been successfully weaned from bottles and is drinking with straw. She has really taken to regular food and eats very well and should catch up with her weight.

It has been awhile since the last post but I do plan to continue Clara's blog to document her progress through childhood.
Clara has started to "cruise furniture" somewhat but prefers to crawl because it is the fastest mood of transportation. Like a typical toddler she is gone in a flash and getting into trouble.
She is eating typical food and has given up the baby food except for the "Wagon Wheels". She continues to grow like a weed and is probably over 20 lbs now. She has her 15 month check-up next week and I will post her progress report.
Clara has one tooth that has come in but because of her prematurity she has a condition call Enamel hypoplasia. We visited the dentist today and we can only wait and see if lack of enamel will only be in her baby teeth or will reoccur in her adult teeth.
