April 10th

I know it has been a while since I updated the Blog, but it has been a frustrating week for Krystal and I. After being given the good news that Clara may go home soon, she regressed back to the isolette. She has been unable to keep her body temp up. At first, the medical staff felt that this was due to the onset of an infection. So they ordered labs and cultures, and nothing came back indicating infection. So they have tried several times to keep her in the open-air crib but with-in hours her temp drops, so back in the isolette she goes. She is just not ready. They feel the switch should flip on soon. So it is the "waiting game"
She does continue to take the bottle and breast well. Most feeding she takes over 50 cc very quickly. Her weight slowly creeps up, she is now 4lbs 9ozs. She did have a 24 hour period where she gained 100 grams (about 4 ozs.). Every other day it has only been 10 or 20 grams.
